I'm Kevin Orlandi from Sayre, PA and I attended Sayre Area High School. Throughout my Jr. High and High School career I was part of the schools wrestling team. I wrestled for five plus years winning multiple tournaments and beating state ranked opponents. After graduating High School, I decided to attend Edinboro University where I walked on the schools Division I wrestling team. During my tenure there, I wrestled with some of the best wrestlers in the country. In the spring of that year, after wrestling ended, I grappled in a few North American Grappling Association (NAGA) tournaments placing at each competition. I decided to transfer from Edinboro University after one year to attend Bloomsburg University to join an accredited Business Program. During my tenure at Bloomsburg, I played rugby and started for a nationally ranked club team. Although I didn’t wrestle for their collegiate, I ended up joining the schools grappling club. Upon graduation, I would go on to coach as an assistant for both Jr. High and High School at Sayre High School.

I enjoy teaching/coaching grappling in order for individuals to learn behavioral traits that will help them succeed in life. I believe that grappling teaches discipline, confidence, camaraderie, and determination. Improving these aspects of life will help students achieve at their profession, school, and the overall aspects of life. One of the biggest reasons I teach grappling is for Self-Defense. Many times in life you may have to protect yourself from someone whom has a good wrestling/grappling base. I strive to educate my students on ways to get out of positions if attacked by someone with a grappling background.

I'm Tony Allen and I have lived in the Valley my whole life. Martial Arts have had a huge impact on my life since I was a child. I started acquiring my martial arts skills during my first years in school. It all started with wrestling in Sayre Recreation during my elementary school and into high school Junior Varsity and then moved on to Senior Varsity level. During my training I attended several college wrestling camps, tournaments and moved on to Coach Sayre Rec, then junior varsity and eventually senior varsity wrestling.

After high school I really got into MMA and started studying the martial arts behind it. I started my journey by taking Judo classes and found that my wrestling background helped me accelerate quickly. I participated in many tournaments and attended several seminars. Still looking to better myself I took my wrestling and Judo skills and started training at Power of One MMA. For me, this was the ultimate experience of a life time.

My views on martial arts is not to be a bully, but to become a leader that strengthens your self-defense skills, builds self-confidence, creates humble minds, teaches respect and emphasizes good health.

My philosophy towards teaching the martial arts is for the student to understand every situation possible that they may encounter. This includes how to stay calm, be aware, versatile, flexible and on point before and during an encounter. Martial Arts have taught me that you can learn from anyone and everyone but you’ll never know it all. Just keep pushing forward and keep on learning.

Martial Arts in not just a sport or just for self defense. IT IS A WAY OF LIFE!!!!!
